Wonder Woman by arunion Wonder Woman by arunion
Hippolyta, Queen of the exiled amazons on the island of Themyscira, desperately desired a daughter. Upon the instructions of the greek gods, Hippolyta formed Diana from clay and she was brought to life, blessed with the beauty of Aphrodite, the wisdom of Athena, the strength of Hercules and the speed of Hermes.

For a thousand years she studied and served her mother, being warned never to leave Themyscira, until one day US Air Force pilot Steve Trevor accidentally crashed on the island. Diana brought him back to health, but Hippolyta insisted that Captain Trevor couldn't remain on the island. He would have to be returned to the world of the patriarchs.

After a lengthy dispute with her mother, Diana volunteered to take Steve back to his world. For her own protection, she was armed with indestructible bracelets and the Lasso of Truth.

Amazed by the cruelty and injustice of the world of the patriarchs, she remained, using the alias Diana Prince as a secret identity, but defending the innocent as Wonder Woman.

Amazing, clean lines and beautiful touches...a very modern and powerful design. My only issue is that she seems more like a fashion model than an amazon warrior.

No one ever criticized that way of drawing her until Alex Ross decided she needed man shoulders.

Sorry I gave offense, although I can't say I'm familiar with how Alex Ross drew Wonder Woman.

Great drawing of Wonder Woman! Great costume and colors! The thigh boots are a nice touch even if they are flats ok!

Instant fave! I agree, this is by far better than the mess they have on their hands now at D.C.
Really well done!

Now this would have been a better idea for the new Wonder Woman. Sleek, modern but still loyal to the original.

Wow, thanks. I don't mind the adjustment they made for the New 52, but I admit, I thought the Jim Lee version with the jacket was a bit too out of character.
