What's bad about Leto I? He get's respect from his people because he gives respect to them. The total opposite of Wladimir, who rules with cruelty.
Of course, just "good" humans don't exist, and Herbert shows in his Dune-Books that it is impossible to be entirely good (or "make the world good"), even if one tries. But Paul has more left control then he was acting willingly bad. He helped also the Fremen like Kynes did. I don't share the thoughts that the story has only bad guys and Lynch did totally wrong. Of course, the rain was absurd.
I find your pictures okay, but all characters are very slim, too "stylish" and "cool" to be human, like drawings for a catwalk. Also the TV-Series looked too "(would-be-)stylish" and clean to me, so far the Lynch-Movie did best. I must confess that I saw this movie first and like the 80's. And I like worlds in the "used-look" of the real world like in the old Dune-, Star-Wars- and Blade-Runner-Movies.
